Online forms ask for a photo "3.5 x 4.5 cm, 20 to 50 KB" and a signature "140 x 60 px, 10 to 20 KB". Choose your picture, enter the size the form wants, and get a JPG that matches it - the file size is tuned automatically. Your picture never leaves your device.
The tool tries different JPEG quality levels until the file is as good as possible while staying under your maximum size. If the picture is too small for your minimum size it is padded with harmless comment bytes, which does not change how it looks.
Then the width and height you asked for are too large for that KB limit. Use a smaller size in pixels (for example reduce the resolution from 300 to 200), or choose a simpler photo with a plain background.
Forms that give a size in cm or mm need it converted to pixels. 300 dpi gives a sharper picture, 200 dpi a lighter one. The value is also written into the JPG so it shows the right print size.
Use "Fill the frame" for a passport style photo - the picture is cropped to the exact shape and you can drag it to centre your face. Use "Show the whole picture" for a signature if you do not want any part cut.
No. The resizing happens inside your browser, so your photo and signature stay on your device.
