Jewellery Bill Generator

A bill for a gold, silver or diamond jewellery shop. Type the weight and today's rate, choose how making charges are taken (percentage, per gram or flat) and add stone charges. GST, old jewellery exchange, advance paid and the balance are worked out for you.

How is the amount of an ornament worked out?

Net weight x rate per gram gives the metal value. Making charges are added - as a percentage of the metal value, a fixed amount per gram, or one flat amount - and then any stone or diamond charges. GST is added on the total after discount.

What GST rate should I use?

Gold, silver and platinum jewellery is taxed at 3%, and the same rate applies to the making charges when you sell the ornament. Choose CGST + SGST for a customer in your own state and IGST for another state. The rate is editable in case the rules change.

How does the old jewellery exchange work?

Add the old ornament with its weight, the deduction for melting loss and the rate. Its value is subtracted from the invoice total, together with any advance and what the customer pays now, to give the balance payable. If the exchange is worth more than the new purchase the bill shows a refund due to the customer.

Where do I put the HUID?

Type the HUID of each hallmarked ornament in its entry - it is printed under the description. Add your BIS licence number in the shop details so it appears in the header.

Is my data stored?

No. The details are used only to draw the PDF. A copy of the form stays in your own browser so you do not lose it if you refresh the page.
