Went on a trip or share a flat? Add the people, then add each expense with who paid and who shared it. The splitter shows how much each person paid and owes, and who should pay whom - with the fewest payments. Download the result as a PDF, and later upload that PDF to add more expenses without typing everything again.
For every expense the amount is divided equally among the people who shared it, and the person who paid is credited the full amount. Each person ends with a balance - positive means others owe them, negative means they owe others. The splitter then matches the people who owe with the people who are owed, so that the number of payments is as small as possible (never more than the number of people minus one).
Under each expense, untick the people who did not share it. For example if only three of five friends went to the water park, untick the other two and only those three split that ticket. Leave everyone ticked for an equal split among all.
Yes. All amounts are worked in paise, and when an amount cannot be divided exactly (like 100 among 3) the extra paise are given out one by one, so the shares always add up to the full amount.
Open "Payments already made", add who paid whom and how much, and it is counted in the balances. The "who pays whom" list then shows only what is still left to pay.
Download the PDF and keep it. Next time open this page, upload that PDF in the box at the top of the form, and the people, expenses and payments come back. Add the new ones and download again. The file is read in your browser and is not uploaded; only a PDF made by this tool can be loaded, and a copy that was printed again, compressed or edited is rejected.
No. The details are used only to draw the PDF and are not saved on our server. A copy of the form stays in your own browser so you do not lose it if you refresh the page.
